Are you thinking about visiting us? We would love to have you join us! You may be wondering what to expect, so let us share a taste of what our worship services look like.

Our Japanese service is held every Sunday at 10:30am. English services are currently held the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month at 1:30pm. There is no special dress code – our members usually dress as they would throughout the rest of the week.

During our services, we will sing songs together that praise God and encourage each other to live faithfully as followers of Jesus. We would love to have you join in singing – we love to sing together!

We will also have several prayers during our service. We will pray our thankfulness to God for his blessings, pray for our community, pray for his healing on those who are sick, and other things of this nature.

During the service, our minister, Leslie Taylor, will provide a lesson from the Bible. These lessons are intended to help us see the beauty of God more clearly, and to love Jesus more deeply and follow him faithfully.

We also have time during each service to take the Lord’s Supper. During this time, we will eat a small piece of unleavened bread and drink some grape juice. These represent Jesus’ body and blood, and remind us that Jesus died on the cross so our sins could be forgiven. This time is especially for Christians – if you are not a Christian yet, you do not need to take this with us.

There is a short time during service where we take up a free collection for the church. Our members will give money as they choose, in order to help support the work of the church and pay basic bills. Please do not feel any pressure to give anything. While we welcome all contributions, there is no expectation for a visitor to give anything.

After services, we have a short time to study and think together about the passage we considered during the sermon. We may also sit around and chat briefly for a bit before leaving. We would love to learn more about our visitors during this time.
